Attention CJV Non-Traveling
Players, Parents and Coaches,
Listed below are some notes
and reminders regarding the CJV Non-Traveling Teams.
Website:
Our website is
www.CarolinaJuniors.com. The website should answer most of
your questions. If not, please email us at
Info@CarolinaJuniors.com or call us at 704-583-1444.
League Games:
League Games will be at the Sports Connection Granite Street
location. Check the schedule above for your Groups specific
times.
Players will have 15 minutes of warm-ups and then play at least
2 games to 25 points against 2 teams (45 minutes per team, 90
minutes total of play).
We have some bleacher and
tables to sit on, but there may be standing room only for games. Please do not
bring food or drinks into the volleyball court area during the
league games or at any other time.
Practices:
The practice times are posted on the website and all groups
should have completed the first week or so of practice by now.
The website will let you know if any future
practices will be cancelled. If CMS is cancelled due to bad
weather, all CJV practices will also be cancelled.
There
will be practice on CMS school holidays (MLK Day, Presidents
Day, Spring Break), EXCEPT FOR MEMORIAL DAY.
We ask that parents use their
own judgment regarding staying and watching practices. The
Volleyball Center is not well designed for spectators when all 4
courts are being used for practices. Most all of the Sport
Court area around the courts is playable area, so we ask if you
are going to stay and watch, please do so from the bleachers
area if possible.
Our volleyball center was built specifically for the Carolina
Juniors Volleyball Club. You are all members of the CJV Club.
We ask that you help take care of YOUR facility. This could
include picking up your trash,
making sure people keep food and drinks out of the playing area,
or emailing us if you see a need or problem.
THANK YOU.
Teams/Players:
This year’s CJV Program has over 400 girls from over 100
different schools and over 40 coaches. Our goal is to provide
ALL girls with opportunity to PRACTICE Volleyball and have FUN
along the way.
We have tried to divide the
League Program into Groups and Teams that will allow ALL girls
to get the most out of the CJV Local Program. Of course,
with over 350 girls ranging from 3rd-12th grade
from 100 different schools, not everyone is going to be able to
play in the exact group or team they would like to. We will
continue to evaluate girls and move them if it benefits the
League Program, Team and Individual.
Uniforms:
If the shirts arrive in time, we will give them out at
practice. Girls can wear whatever color shorts, socks
etc. they choose.
Playing Time:
All girls will receive equal playing time at Practices and
League Games.
Thank You For Your Support
Of Girls Youth Volleyball!
